Welcome to Boocoo Cultural Center and Cafe

Boocoo is a cultural center and café located at the corner of Church and Dodge in Evanston. Boocoo offers music classes, private music lessons for all instruments, dance classes, movement/fitness classes, a recording studio, a computer lab, a performance space and a café. Boocoo is also a performance venue, offering live music and events throughout the year. Our beautiful space is also available for private rentals at affordable prices. Our building uses a geothermal heating and cooling system, and was built with many recycled materials in order to leave a small environmental footprint. Boocoo LLC is a project of the Enterprise Development Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation.

The mission of Boocoo Cultural Center and Café is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which individuals can explore and express their creative passions through music, theater, literature, visual arts, video and film, audio and sound production, and movement. Boocoo provides a venue for individuals and community organizations to engage in and facilitate art programming that celebrates the richness of Evanston’s cultural diversity, fostering shared experiences that transcend race, class and gender. Boocoo provides an atmosphere that stimulates the imagination, excites the senses, and celebrates the important role of arts in the community.
