The ten Almond Blossom Queen/Miss Ripon contestants shared many aspects, features and historical contributions to the Ripon Chamber of Commerce.

Ava Brocchini, Kylee Fullmer, Madison Hendley, Anniston Holck, Ava Keast, Payton Miller-Kay, Anika Schooland, Madeline Staley, Madeline Stewart and Nayeli Zuniga participated in last week’s speech contest at Ripon City Hall.

Each vie for the title of queen at the annual Almond Blossom Festival scheduled from February 23rd to February 26th.

Next up for the Queen Candidates – Juniors attending Ripon High or Ripon Christian High respectively – is the Miss Almond Blossom Fashion Show at Calvary Ripon Church on Wednesday, February 8th at 6pm.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce connecting the community and local businesses.

In honor of its 100th anniversary, the Chamber of Commerce is honored to serve as Grand Marshal for this year’s Almond Blossom Festival.

Fittingly, the theme of the 61st annual event is “Connecting Businesses and Communities Since 1923.”

“As we’ve grown over the years, many have wondered about our role in the community,” the Chamber of Commerce recently posted on social media.

The Queen Candidate provided some of these answers in a speech contest. The Miss Almond Blossom winner will also reign as Miss Her Ripon next year.

The Almond Blossom Festival will once again include a carnival and vendor fair at Mistrin Sports Park, in addition to the Fun Run, Main Street Parade and Diaper Derby.

Hours of operation are Friday, February 24th from 4-10pm. Saturday, February 25 from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday, February 26 from 11 am to 5 pm

The carnival is on Thursday, February 23rd from 5pm to 10pm. Friday, February 24 from 4-10 PM, Saturday, February 25 from 11-10 PM, and Sunday, February 26 from 11-10 PM.until 5pm

There is a fun run on Saturday. His teenage night with community stage entertainment on Saturdays and Sundays and live music in the park on Fridays.

On weekends, local groups host a variety of breakfasts, dinners, dances, and even bread sales throughout the community.
