Dakota Johnson Slammed by PETA for Fashion Campaign


PETA, a non-profit organization also known as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has criticized the actress. Dakota Johnson For her involvement in the recent Gucci campaign.

The 33-year-old Gucci modeled for Gucci in a shoot showcasing the new Jackie 1961 handbag made of python and crocodile skin, shared by the fashion brand on social media on January 10.

On the brand’s official website, Gucci proudly states that bags priced from around $4,000 to over $30,000 are authentic.

The product description for the Jackie 1961 Small Python Bag explains, “The Jackie 1961 was introduced in Python, a precious leather that draws attention to its historic half-moon silhouette and piston hardware.”

In response to Gucci’s use of real animal skins and Johnson’s ties to the brand, PETA wrote a scathing letter to the actress, which was published by TMZ.
