NEW YORK (AP) — The stars returned Tuesday for their return to television for the Golden Globes, With a few notable exceptions, it walks the soggy greyish carpet with a relatively predictable look.

Abbott Elementary’s Sherrill Lee Ralph led the train parade in jewel-toned blues with chunky embellishments and a high-neck look. Viola Davis also chose a jewel-toned body-skimming blue.
Chloe Flower, who sings during the show, took the longer train with a number lightly embellished in white.
Niecy Nash Betts wore a lovely deep purple gown with chunky sparkles paired with a large shoulder overcoat.Both by Dolce & Gabbana.
19-year-old Bailey Bass, who appears in “Avatar: Path of Water”, appeared in a long look with delicate patterns, showing a brave appearance. Michelle Williams wore a graceful ivory one-shoulder look trimmed with gold. Her rough look included a high-side slit.
Jewels were kept to a minimum, with exceptions like Domingo.

A pregnant Abby Elliott chose burnt orange with sequins all over Pamela Rowland. Her sparkler had long blouson sleeves and a high neck.
Jenny Slate is emerald green. She told E! A slip dress with a large flower around her neck, aiming to be a “woman who almost turned into a magical plant”.
Among the standout looks was E! Hosting Laverne Cox in a sexy blue and silver goddess gown, her hair was a curly Old Hollywood bob. Her look was a vintage John Galliano.
Billy Porter walked in a crimson tuxedo gown and sparkly silver boots with chunky high heels.
Anya Taylor-Joy wore a sunny yellow two-piece look with a small bandeau top.

Iranian-American actress Sepideh Moafi wore a black sequin look with a special touch. She worked on the look with Iranian designer Amir Taghi and House of Milad.
“There are many stories in this dress,” she told the Associated Press.
She was referring to a months-long wave of protests in Iran challenging the country’s dominant theocracy.
