Surveillance video caught a thief venting his anger on a locked door during a robbery at a Florida clothing store. Now, Florida authorities are seeking help from the public to identify “impatient thieves” who stole hundreds of dollars’ worth of clothing.
According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the subject entered the Rainbow Store at 7 3021 North State Road, Lauderdale Lakes at approximately 8:15 pm on December 7.
After browsing for about an hour, officials said the man tried to leave the store with his hands full of merchandise, only to find the front door locked as it was near closing time.

The suspect became enraged and yelled at the stunned employee to open the door, according to the sheriff’s office. He dropped the clothes he was holding and tried to force the locked door open.

Security footage shows a clearly angry shoplifter yelling at an employee to open the door, then lunging and attempting to kick the door to no avail.
When one of the employees tried to unlock the door, the suspect realized he could unlock the bolt himself, officials said.
Before leaving, he aggressively pushed one of his employees to the ground, picked up a pile of clothing from a nearby clothing rack, and rushed out.
The suspect rammed a red truck waiting outside and disappeared in the middle of the night before an employee called local police.

The sheriff’s office said the shoplifter stole nearly $200 worth of merchandise. Authorities released surveillance video of the incident in hopes of identifying a suspect.
