J Balvin Wears Futuristic Sneakers at Givenchy Paris Fashion Week Show – Footwear News

J Balvin arrived at Givenchy’s Fall 2023 menswear show yesterday in Y2K style.

His look consisted of black leather, straight-leg pants, a leather bomber jacket, and a white turtleneck with the Givenchy name spread across the neck. The front of the jacket was emblazoned with the brand name in light gray embroidery, along with eye-popping embellishments along the lines of the script, a decade of style that saw a resurgence last year. It is reminiscent of the style used by many of his Y2K favorite brands such as Baby Phat.

To accessorize the look, Balvin added a pair of Givenchy Giv cut style sunglasses. These 3D printed nylon sunglasses feature black smoked lenses and a brand signature on the tip of one lens and end tip. The frame’s angular style and oversized shape further enhance her Y2K effect in Balvin’s outfit.

For footwear, Balvin opted for the Givenchy TK-360+ Futuristic sneaker. The style uses a knit material that changes from black to gray from the heel to the toe. These sneakers feature contrasting graphic grids and heatbond lines, along with Givenchy’s signature and his 4G crest on the sides. These shoes are part of his TK-360 Plus collection and retail for $995.

Aside from his bold outfits, Balvin is well known in the fashion industry for his numerous collaborations with brands. One of the musician’s recent take on fashion was the release of his collection of streetwear created with his Miller Lite titled BodegaWear. Balvin has also started collaborating with Air Jordan and Guess Originals.
