Johnny Cueto is on his fifth MLB team and already seems to be embracing a new home.
A veteran starting pitcher miami marlins on Thursday after agreeing a one-year deal with the club. The team welcomed him into his park at Lone Depot, and the 36-year-old made the most of his first impression.
Wearing the Dominican Republic flag, Cueto took to the mound in iconic fashion ahead of the opening press conference as music blared throughout the ballpark.
Cueto played eight seasons with the Cincinnati Reds before joining the Kansas City Royals during the 2015 season.He then spent the next six seasons San Francisco Giants before joining chicago white sox For the 2022 campaign.
In one season on the South Side, Cueto went 8-10 with a 3.35 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 24 starts.
In addition to his pitching ability, Cueto has also shown to bring entertainment talent to South Beach.
