It may be time to wrap up in thick, cozy layers to keep you warm, but the next fashion trend to grace our wardrobes is to show some skin.
Rita Ora appeared almost entirely see-through in the dress that was supposed to be for Elvis’ 88th birthday party this week.
Reminiscent of Kate Moss’ iconic “naked” dress, it’s an eye-catching statement that might feel a little “out there” for mere mortals.
But think again.
Farrah Mae Archer Boady, styling team leader at Stitch Fix UK, told Metro.co.uk there are ways to make see-throughs more wearable.
She explains: .
“In short, sheer fabrics create a gorgeous, graceful yet edgy aesthetic that’s incredibly versatile, so whatever your style, you can make it work for you. increase.”
But if a see-through dress isn’t your office outfit, how can you make it possible to wear light clothing on a daily basis?
“The easiest and most subtle way to add a sheer-chic touch to your outfit is by layering. Layer a sheer long-sleeved top over a bra or vest for your ‘jeans and nice top’ evening.” Consider making your outing look fresh.
“Or, if you’re inclined to embrace maximalism, layer a full-bodied sheer midi skirt over tights and boots or trousers and heels.”
And if that’s feeling a little daunting right now, don’t forget the accessories.
“Sheer pieces like socks, knee highs and tights can add a touch of understated elegance to a simple outfit, whether it’s day or night.”
We introduce recommended see-through items that nail the trend.
