Charlotte Hornets forward Kelly Oubre Jr. A luxury clothing company claims to have ruined him with a six-figure deal…and now TMZSports I found out he sued it all.
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County on Friday…and it all stems from a pact Aubre Jr. attempted to strike with a former professional basketball player, according to documents. Patrick Christopher In 2021, he will start his company, Sloan And Bennett.
Oubre claims to have asked Christopher and his colleagues. He helped create the products for his own clothing line his DopeSoul. In his suit, he states that Patrick has agreed to provide him with items from his Capsule 001 and 002 collection of his Dope Soul.
Hooper, 28, says he sent over hundreds of thousands of dollars to Christopher… and expects to receive clothes in return.
The problem is… Oubre Jr. alleges that Christopher failed to deliver on his promises, simply stating “Defendants did not” in the lawsuit.
Oubre Jr. said that for “months” Christopher and his company dodged him and made excuses as to why the product was not available.
Finally, according to the lawsuit, Christopher and his associates. “Shipped together” in 2022…but contained “incomplete, damaged, defective items.”
Oubre Jr. is suing for breach of contract, fraud, and more. He is seeking at least $94,250 in damages, possibly more.
Widely admired for his fashion sense, Oubre Jr. first founded DopeSoul in 2020 and presented several of his pieces at New York Fashion Week in 2021 to great acclaim.
