Off-White Teams With Chicago Bulls on Fashion Collection: Details – WWD


Off-White continues the legacy of the late Virgil Abloh with a new NBA capsule collection.

On Thursday, the luxury streetwear brand teamed up with the NBA’s Chicago Bulls to unveil a capsule collection that celebrates Abloh’s love of basketball and deep connection to Chicago.

The capsule collection brings together Andrea Grilli, CEO of Off-White, streetwear designer and creative strategy and design advisor for the Chicago Bulls Don C. It was a collaboration of The collection will include four of his limited edition items, including a t-shirt, hoodie and two varsity jackets. All items feature new logos featuring a bull in an off-white jersey and the names of both brands.

The Off-White and Chicago Bulls capsule collection will be available February 2nd at select Off-White stores and on the brand’s website. The capsule will also be available in Farfetch Beat, Farfetch’s concept retail series, with exclusive product launches planned.

Abloh regularly paid tribute to Chicago through his designs and efforts. Abloh earned a master’s degree in architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and after a designer internship at Fendi, along with Don C., he opened a luxury contemporary fashion and streetwear boutique in the city called RSVP Galleries. Opened.

In 2017, Abloh teamed up with Nike to introduce the Off-White Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. This is the first of many collaborations between designers and Jordan Brand. This sneaker pays homage to Chicago with its White, Black and Varsity Red color scheme.

Abloh also debuted his “Figures of Speech” museum exhibition for the first time at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 2019. This was the first exhibition dedicated to Abloh’s work. The exhibit was then exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum last June.
