Saint Laurent opens Paris Fashion Week with chic evening wear for men

PARIS: French luxury house Saint Laurent kicks off its Paris Fashion Week menswear show on Tuesday night, unveiling a line of sharply tailored men’s sophisticated evening looks created by designer Anthony Vaccarello. Did.

The Kering-owned brand utilizes the circular Bourse de Commerce — a historic wheat exchange refurbished to house the Pinault collection of contemporary art — and pumps models around the space, dark trenches with prominent shoulders. I wore a coat and a white blouse and dressed it up with an oversized bow. Cut low, showing skin.

The models wore boots with pointed heels, turtlenecks raised high, and tight overcoats with raised collars.

In the finale, the room went dark and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg slipped into her seat at the piano and played music while the models closed out the show with one more round.

When Vaccarello went out to retrieve her bow, she continued playing, to applause and cheers from the audience.

The Paris Fashion Week menswear collection runs until January 22nd, with shows from luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior Homme, Givenchy, Hermès and Maison Margiela.
