Paris — Schiaparelli continues to expand its retail reach with the opening of a shop-in-shop at London’s Harrods department store.
The renowned couture maison’s first British flagship store has opened a permanent space outside its boutique atelier at 21 Place Vendôme in Paris since it was reopened by Italian entrepreneur Diego della Valle in 2012. It’s the second time.
In 2021, Schiaparelli opened a permanent store in Bergdorf Goodman, followed by a temporary installation of Artistic Director Danielle Rosebery’s Fall 2022 collection at Neiman Marcus in Dallas in October. Schiaparelli’s collections are also available in online boutiques.
The 1,500-square-foot boutique on the ground floor of Harrods, which opened Friday, features a ready-to-wear selection of tailoring and eveningwear alongside leather goods, accessories and jewelry. Padlock, Secret and Face handbags are available in a variety of colors and fabrics, including limited edition styles such as the Bijou Face bag.

The shop-in-shop evokes the surrealist spirit of the Maison’s home in Paris. Rosebery represents notable figures who have worked with founder Elsa Schiaparelli, including his French interior designer Jean-Michel Franck, Swiss sculptor Alberto Giacometti, and Spanish artist Salvador Dalí.
