Local seniors are set to walk the catwalk after the council accepts funding to host seniors at next year’s Style fashion show.
The free fashion show comes to fruition after the Council successfully receives a $3,500 grant through the NSW Government’s Festival of Senior Citizens programme.
Camden Mayor Cr Therese Fedeli said the show will form part of the council’s wider senior citizen festival program in 2023.
Cr Fedeli says:
“The Senior in Style fashion show aims to promote positive attitudes and behaviors towards aging, celebrate respect, inclusion and social participation, and celebrate aging through fashion and modeling opportunities.
“We would like to thank the NSW Government for funding this project and look forward to bringing it to life in the new year.”
The show is professionally filmed and images will be captured to form part of future art exhibitions in the Camden area.
