New Year means new exhibitions at the museums of the world’s biggest fashion cities. Gabrielle Chanel.Fashion manifesto at his V&A in London
Following Palais Galliera in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum presents a retrospective of Gabrielle Chanel. This is the first British exhibition dedicated entirely to the work of the French couturier, and on this occasion the V&A showcases some rare pieces from its own collection. In total, more than 180 looks will be collected in the museum, as well as jewelry, accessories, cosmetics and perfumes. All of this is meant to highlight the evolution of Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic style and her journey leading up to her final collection in 1971.

Fashion and Sport at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs
With the 2024 Paris Olympics approaching, the Museum of Decorative Arts has chosen to explore the close and more frequent links between the worlds of fashion and sport. Clothing, accessories, photographs, paintings, posters and videos will be installed in the museum to show the connection between her two worlds, from ancient times to the present.
