This frog and prince fairy tale may have a happy ending. Production of the boots has resumed, and a luxurious adult version made in Italy, complete with a suede leather insole, will hit the market this spring. The price jumped accordingly, to around £170.

This was after Northern Irish designer JW Anderson unveiled frog-like clogs designed in collaboration with a British firm at Milan Fashion Week. Wellipets brand his manager, Vincent De Vreese, said he immediately agreed to the partnership, adding: We gave him complete creative freedom.
He expects the adult Welipet (left) to appeal to the same customers he wore as a child in the 1980s. They’ve already made a successful comeback for youngsters, with a “huge” waiting list even if the pair is £75.
De Vreese hopes William and Harry will buy a pair for themselves or for their children, especially Harry’s daughter. .
